Hello, this is [personal profile] ziasudra from LJ. Welcome and make yourself feel at home!


I am currently no longer a graduate student persuing a joint-degree in Journalism and Near Eastern Studies (that's the Middle East region). I have a B.A. in Near Eastern Studies, in which I focused on ancient Near Eastern history and Northwest Semitic philology. All that comes down to one thing -- I earned a piece of paper after 4 years and $100,000+ and am throwing away another $80,000 and 2 years to get another piece of paper. Ah! The loans! What an expensive hobby... :P

Update: I'm a 20-something in NYC working at a non-profit organization, after working a brief (but wonderful) stint at Starbucks. While I didn't end up as a journalist or a historian, I do get to write quite a bit at my current job. So I suppose the $100,000+ didn't entirely go to waste.
