Forgot to ask if you'd be interested in joining an LJ book club that one of my college buddies in NY started up. It's mostly Dukies and our assorted affiliates -- Mel's a part of it, too.
Right now we're reading Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, although I'll probably be done with only the first book by the flexible August 20 deadline. I think it'll be up your alley -- if you haven't heard of the series, it's YA fantasy, like your good ol' HP.
