New Potter Puppet Pals!

*sniffs*

They're so mean to Snape. Just you watch, Harry. When you grow up, you'll realize how much you and Snape were meant to be together happily ever after ;p

Click my dragon eggs, please??? )

This past Sunday I met up with 20+ fans from all over to see Equus on Broadway. Some people I only saw for a few seconds, and some I was able to hang out with more. I went to the matinee show with [livejournal.com profile] alafairnadia, the [livejournal.com profile] accioslash family, [livejournal.com profile] dementordelta, [livejournal.com profile] treewishes, and a bunch of others I don't remember the LJ names of. Afterwards, we hung out at the Marriott for a bit, where I got to spend some time with [livejournal.com profile] dracofiend (and say hi to Mr. [livejournal.com profile] dracofiend) and [livejournal.com profile] theentwife as a few of us from the matinee show grabbed a table at the Atrium for drinks. I didn't spend nearly enough time with old and new friends I saw: [livejournal.com profile] adbaculum, [livejournal.com profile] alisanne, [livejournal.com profile] sassy_cissa, [livejournal.com profile] fuschia, [livejournal.com profile] lesyerxverts00, [livejournal.com profile] fbowden, [livejournal.com profile] rubyrosered... etc.

Even though I didn't have a ticket for the evening show, I went to the theater anyway to see who else I could catch. The NJ peeps I saw for maybe a few seconds, then there was [livejournal.com profile] venturous1 whom I only got to say hi to. Of course, there were the NYC people like [livejournal.com profile] midnitemaraud_r and [livejournal.com profile] titti who I don't see much even though we live so close to each other.

Then [livejournal.com profile] alafairnadia and I walked over to the Times Square Toys R Us and I bought a Wii :)

All in all, a good day with great company and a fascinating play. So when's the next group of fen coming into NYC?

Last year, at Prophecy, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] r_becca held a roundtable discussion about fandom newsletters. I had so much fun at the roundtable that for Terminus, we're doing our own!

By we, I mean: [livejournal.com profile] alisanne, [livejournal.com profile] kabal42, [livejournal.com profile] kethlenda, [livejournal.com profile] wook77, and me, [livejournal.com profile] ziasudra.

By our own, I mean: a panel discussion on fandom newsletters (scroll down to the very last item under "Panels").

Among the five of us, we represent 8 different Harry Potter newsletters!

Right now, we're at the brainstorming stage of our planning. So fire away, folks! Any questions you've always wanted to ask about fandom newsletters? Any topics you'd like to see discussed? Any curiosity you want satisfied? Feel free to let me know by leaving a comment (screened, just in case), or if you prefer, by emailing me at ziasudra @ gmail . com.
