Ganked from [Bad username or site: cruisedirector / @ livejournal.com]'s flist switch report.

"It is very wrong how many times this Landover Baptist "article", "God Fails to Break His Own Record for Killing", made me snicker helplessly. (Warning: fake Fundamentalist church, brutal parody, Christian-bashing, mockery of human suffering, all manner of blasphemy.) I think it's because we know there are people who call themselves "Christians" who think like this -- those people were there blaming God and sinners on 9/11, they were there blaming God and sinners during Hurricane Isabel, and they are around right now.

[Bad username or site: cruisedirector / @ livejournal.com] then links us to a webpage: Read.

The webpage is what I want to rant about. I'm not sure how I should react to this. Parodies I can understand (and I think some are hilarious). But a real life conviction? It's very...disturbing, especially since the Tsunami has been one of the few recent events I've been following even in the bubble-land of winter vacation. So...especially for those of you who are Christians, what do you think?

I won't force anyone to read the rest of the huge faq page, but as I scroll down the Q & A, it's just sad that this would be the definition of "Christian" that many people who set foot onto a website like this would take away with. What if they never look deeper into the peculiarities of each denomination?

Hmm...I wonder how many hits the Westboro Baptist Church website gets everyday? *shudders*
