A Few Online Resources -- Good, Okay, or Bad?

The internet is so vast, how can one be sure that a resource site is worth the exploring time? This is the question I examined in my editing class' assignment for this week.

For my assignment, I looked at these three sites:

Hong Kong Leader Tung Chee-hwa Resigns

Big, BIG news for me, since I have friends and family members in Hong Kong.

Well, so honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who *likes* Tung Chee-hwa as Hong Kong's (soon to be ex-)Chief Executive. But while not many might be sad to see him go, the political implication could be huge.

Sing Tao Daily: here. I liked this paper better before it became stereotypically commercialized—for the U.S. edition anyway.

The Standard (English): here and specifically, here. No quality control from me here...I'm unfamiliar with The Standard so I don't know its news bias. It seems to be an offshoot of Sing Tao, and the articles look okay.]
