Eclectic News
Oct. 27th, 2005 11:39 pmFirst news: Jenn, my roommate from last year who have sinced moved to Chicago, is in town for the weekend! *squees*
- I'm going to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on November 17 (well, technically, 12:01 a.m. of Nov. 18)!
- Tonight, I volunteered to build the Web site for my openDemocracy class, along with a couple of other classmates. What was I thinking?!?
(Can anyone point me to tutorials for Flash and/or Dream Weaver???)
- My Chinatown bus article is going to be published! The first draft sucked, but the editors are good enough to give me space in the publication. Had a pretty cool interview with a fifth precinct detective today. That should beef up my article.
- In case you haven't heard, Miers pulled her nomination status to replace Sandra Day O'Connor at the U.S. Supreme Court. Nomination process beings again. New York Times: Bush Is Not Expected to Need to Pick Woman Again.
- My grandma loves boxing. She would be sad. Daily Times: Women's boxing rejected at Beijing's Olympics.
Going to have apples and bree cheese now, my former roommate's favorite snacks ;)
