The NYU Strike...

This is a very helpful site to learn about what's been going on, full of informative links to both the union's and the university's sides represented.
Now, when I say Talal Asad, Judith Butler, Joan W. Scott, Gayatri Spivak, and Donna Haraway -- what do you think of? If you answer "
ziasudra's reading note posts," you are correct! But these are more than mere authors of books and articles I had to read for class. They're *real* people, teaching at *real* universities. And they all oppose NYU's recent actions taken against the graduate students union.
So if you've read what mockery of reading notes I've taken from these brilliant scholars' writings and think that they're smart enough to know what they're talking about, please take a few seconds/minutes to look at the Letter from Scholars to NYU President John Sexton that they've written. Sign the petition if you feel so inclined, but that's totally up to you.
