Mid-Autumn Festival
Sep. 25th, 2007 10:10 pm'Tis the season of mooncakes and lanterns again, and of the moon I cannot see due to Very Tall Buildings in my Manhattan neighborhood.
I'm absolutely bloated from eating mooncakes. Working for an Asian-based organization means I've eaten some fraction of a mooncake every single day for the past two weeks. It's great that our clients love us and keep sending us tin boxes upon tin boxes of these high-sugar, high-cholestral, high-calories goodies, but not so great for the body, heh. I've tried a wide variety of mooncakes so far: lotus, white lotus, nuts & ham, dates, red bean paste, "Taiwanese" and ones with preserved egg yolk(s).
