London will be hosting the XXX Olympic Games in 2012! Official article here.

I can hear the majority of New Yorkers breath a collective sigh of relief. Really, I have yet to meet someone who wanted the Olympics to come to New York. So while the NYC Olympics Committee mourns, we NYC commoners will be rejoicing.

haha, i read about that in the bbc news yesterday. actually, i read that they were deciding it in singapore, and silly me, i thought my tiny sunny island was one of the 5 candidates for 2012 olympics! hehe. :P

Olympics in Singapore would be so cool ^^ But, yes, the size of the country would definitely be a constraint. And with Beijing snatching 2008, I doubt the Olympics Committee seriously considered any Asian countries even during the preliminary rounds.

*shudders* We had the superbowl here two years ago and it was awful -_-. Not something I liked. Too noisy, too crowded. Too everything.

That said I like the city. It just made everything that much worse.
