This was as of 11:15 p.m. We have 45 more minutes until the threatened strike officially (once again) begins. Let's see if the strike can be called off this time.

well, looks like they called a strike at 3am. I get to stay home from work. Now I can write Christmas cards like I neglected to do this weekend.

Believe it or not, I was already asleep by then and had no idea whether there was a strike until I got my half-asleep self to work. Good thing I usually walk anyway, but I felt bad for people coming from Long Island. One person never made it because it would have been pointless to come all the way into Manhattan only to do the same thing after a few hours of work.

I'm so writing Christmas cards right now... was going to do it three weeks ago, which obviously didn't happen ;p
