No More Classes Ever!!!

At Ben & Jerry's today, I got the oatmeal with chocolate chunks ice cream. It was gooood ^_^
so_severus brought to my attention that today is also Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom Hashoah. Check out her post about it here. (Note: locked entry, check out Wikipedia's entry on Yom Hashoah for more information.)
And at class today, my classmates liked my paper! I was sooo happy and relieved. More than that, I realized that barring any future insanity of me applying to PhD programs, today's class was my last class EVER. Yup, no more classes, no more readings too confusing to keep my attention, and besides the final project I still have to write, no more papers that will count for a grade.
This is surreal.
I feel the sudden need to celebrate. Leave a comment and tell me something good so I can be happy with you :)

I wish I had the time to go to Ben & Jerry's! At least many people seem to have gone :D
Wow thanks for the link to the wiki's entry on yom hashoa... I didn't know "At 10:00am on Yom HaShoah, air-raid sirens sound for two minutes throughout Israel. Public transport (including virtually all highway vehicles) comes to a standstill for this period, and people stop and stand silent. During Yom HaShoah, much public entertainment and many public establishments in Israel are closed by law. Israeli television and radio channels transmit mourning songs and documentaries about the Holocaust, and no commercials. All flags on public buildings are flown at half mast."
thanks!

Date: 2006-04-26 08:11 am (UTC)The semester's not over yet though, since I still need to revise my paper. But I got an e-mail from the professor today saying that he liked it (!). So it's going to be minimal work until the home stretch.
I remember in college a lot of my classes would be cancelled for Jewish holidays or made aware of special observances like the Yom Ha-Shoah. But I'm sure nothing's like the sirens sounding in Israel and the active observance of the day along with everyone else around you.

Yay for your job and your apartment! Has it been almost a month?!? I still feel like I can just call you up and have you come over. And the animals still asks about A-ko.
