I have most of tomorrow off because Yom Kippur is considered a paid holiday at my Internet job. Yay. Speaking of which, to my Jewish friends: may your Yom Kippur be meaningful and full of blessings.

Brazilia election today. It's still unclear whether incumbent President Lula has the majority he needs to avoid a run-off Round 2. BBC reports that he has 49% of the votes so far, so almost there, but not quite.

[ETA: seems like there will be a second round of election. While the media focuses on Lula and Alckman, here's an article about the PSOL candidate, link courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] ptyx.]

In Starbucks news: NYC Starbucks to add breakfast sandwiches. They don't taste half bad, I was pleasantly surprised. But very greasy though, just like McDonalds, which I still love and eat
^_^;; But all I can think of right now is how backed up the line is going to be with the new menu items. I'm not looking forward to the morning rush.

I know I've taken this before, but I was curious and decided to take the Color Quiz again. Here's my result this time:

That was an interesting quiz. I found my results to be somewhat sinister so I don't know if I'm going to post it.

You're lucky you have a day off. I don't. Sob.

There's supposedly a real science behind color analysis -- I've read some stuff on it before and it's fascinating.

I still have to open at Starbucks (with the new sandwiches), but I'm already making plans to take a long afternoon nap :D

McDonalds meanwhile is planning to start offering their breakfast menu all day. :D About time!! I love McD's breakfast.

I will have to try the Starbucks breakfast, but nothing can top the Egg McMuffin.

I love McDonalds breakfast too! I can never get up early enough to catch it though. It's good they finally realize there's a whole new population of breakfast lovers who like to have their first meals past noon, lol.

Interesting :) My mind's too drained to come up with a more intelligent-sounding reply/analysis. But you definitely chose different colors than I! My first set, I picked the bright purple/magenta one first; the second set, I picked the yellow first. I wonder what the "first pick" variable alone means in this test, even without considering all the other colors...

Opened at SB today, then went to the dentist to get a filling (2 hours!!!) and then returned to my apartment because I get Yom Kippur off at my other job :) I open again tomorrow morning.

BTW, you'll be getting an e-mail along the line of "help me with my plot!" really soon. I'm writing something for a friend who's both a RL friend and on my flist. *wibbles*

I'll post about Brazilian elections later. There will be a round 2. Is that how you call it? It's so difficult to write about politics, because the there are so many jargons.

I hope you don't mind me linking to the Heloisa Helena article. It's very interesting, and something that most people won't see popping up on their news page unless they search specifically for it. Thanks again!
