Year In Review

2006 was a weird year, and I can't believe it's over already. The year is ending in a not-so-good note: for those of you who don't know, my grandma on my dad's side passed away earlier this week. I've calmed down from my initial existential crisis and am on my way to planning a trip to Hong Kong. Lots of you have helped and I truly appreciate it. You know who you are. *glomps*

Yesterday night I went to Victoria Park with D and H to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the June 4 Tiananmen Square Massacre.

I had one of the most fun-filled weekends I've had in a long time.

w00t, I'm back to NYC!

September
Two of my good friends from college -- one of them a former housemate -- are getting married tomorrow!

October
I have most of tomorrow off because Yom Kippur is considered a paid holiday at my Internet job. Yay.

November
Today, I met a white guy (to put it politically non-correctly) who looked as "American" as can be -- tall, blond hair, etc. -- who spoke fluent Mandarin!!!

December
In celebration of Rachel's birthday, a bunch of us went out tonight to have dinner and watch a movie.

I'm sorry about your grandma too. I just now read your posts. I had a close relative pass away over the holidays a coupla years ago, and it was tough. I hope you are feeling better. (you posts sound like it)

Thanks. I'm definitely not moping about anymore -- having a busy schedule prevents me from doing that ;) And I've scheduled my flight back to HK. I think having some sort of a closure would be a good thing.
