March Madness: Round 2, Day 1

Things ziasudra should be doing right now:
1. Editing a paper for a friend/co-worker.
2. More editing that's been queued up due to my work-work-sleep-work-work-sleep schedule.
3. Writing, for things with pressing deadlines.
4. Writing, for things with some eventual deadlines.
5. Getting ready to sleep soon (ha! </sarcasm>)

What ziasudra is actually doing:

Glued to the computer screen watching March Madness On Demand, and possibly turning on the TV later to watch the Virginia Commonwealth vs. Duke game, which is blacked out by my local cable network, grrr.

I'm crossing my fingers for Michigan State. They just had an injury, got a bit frazzled and lost their 10+ point lead. I like them as a team, even if I hadn't chosen them for the bracket.

And with the way the Duke game is going (WTF?!?), I'm going to lose precious hours of sleep just to watch till the end of the game...

Duke is an experienced team. They should be able to bounce back on the unexpected competition and pull out on top by the end of the game. At least that's what I hope... *nods*

My team already lost. >:O How embarassing. Apparently Bob Knight has a bad track record of losing in Round 1 for 6 years now or something. I want to throw a chair at HIM.

Well, you can feel vindicated now that BC had just lost to Georgetown. It was a really good game though -- the outcome could have gone either way up until the very end of the game. I picked BC because I've always had this inexplicable affection for their team, but were I to clinically choose a bracket solely based on team strength, I probably would have chosen Georgetown.
