Greetings, and long time no see. Hope you're well, and a very Happy Easter/end of Passover to you all!

I hadn't meant to take such a long hiatus from my journal, it's just with recent things and stresses, it became a chore for me to put words to paper, let alone spending extra energy on writing something that doesn't have a due date attached to it. I'm poking my head in, finally, and hope this would jumpstart some sort of consistency to my posting again.

Ginormous writing project that was due last weekend is done. Yay.

I'm currently reading: A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, by Ishmael Beah. Very interesting (and sad) so far. It's a worthwhile read.

:D

I can't wait to read everyone else's. It's weird... I dread peer review/concrit for my class assignments, but I look so forward to any feedback I get via the Intarwebz and can't wait to R&R others' works *g*

I always dreaded when others read my poetry but loved reading others

Ooh I think I've heard about that book... I forget who was talking about it, but it sounds intense. Would def be a tearjerker.

It's either on the New York Times list or recced in The Daily Show or something influential like that. It's a good read so far, although if I were to put on my copy editor's spectacles, I'd say the actual writing of the book isn't top-notch. But the author has a gripping, horrifying story to tell, and I think that itself makes up for any additional need for wordscrafting.
