Just want to bring you all to attention about JKR's charity reading at Radio City Hall, New York City on August 1 and 2. You can find out more information on her Web site, just click on the newspaper (the link to the text only version doesn't seem to work).

Tickets ranging from $12.50 to $100 will be available through Ticketmaster from May 12, 2006 at 10 a.m (which is 3 p.m. in the UK).

Yeah, the dates are kind of random as far as big events go. I wonder why they didn't make it July 31, Harry's birthday? But that wouldn't have worked for you either, would it? :p

Nope :P weekends are easier - unless I take a day off to extend to long weekends but yeah as it's in the middle of week - much harder - this just means you must report back on it! :)

Oh, my eyes are definitely set on the cheaper tickets! I had to check to make sure this doesn't overlap with Lumos (I'm contemplating just flying to Vegas and joining people for the parties). Fortunately it doesn't :)
