This past Sunday I met up with 20+ fans from all over to see Equus on Broadway. Some people I only saw for a few seconds, and some I was able to hang out with more. I went to the matinee show with
alafairnadia, the
accioslash family,
dementordelta,
treewishes, and a bunch of others I don't remember the LJ names of. Afterwards, we hung out at the Marriott for a bit, where I got to spend some time with
dracofiend (and say hi to Mr.
dracofiend) and
theentwife as a few of us from the matinee show grabbed a table at the Atrium for drinks. I didn't spend nearly enough time with old and new friends I saw:
adbaculum,
alisanne,
sassy_cissa,
fuschia,
lesyerxverts00,
fbowden,
rubyrosered... etc.
Even though I didn't have a ticket for the evening show, I went to the theater anyway to see who else I could catch. The NJ peeps I saw for maybe a few seconds, then there was
venturous1 whom I only got to say hi to. Of course, there were the NYC people like
midnitemaraud_r and
titti who I don't see much even though we live so close to each other.
Then
alafairnadia and I walked over to the Times Square Toys R Us and I bought a Wii :)
All in all, a good day with great company and a fascinating play. So when's the next group of fen coming into NYC?

Date: 2008-10-07 02:47 am (UTC)Cordelia and Meri were actually staying in the same hotel as I was. I did manage to see Beth for a few moments, but I missed the others. It was wonderful to see everyone, though. I think I've attended cons with fewer fans than were at Equus this weekend. ;D
