Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

This past Sunday I met up with 20+ fans from all over to see Equus on Broadway. Some people I only saw for a few seconds, and some I was able to hang out with more. I went to the matinee show with [livejournal.com profile] alafairnadia, the [livejournal.com profile] accioslash family, [livejournal.com profile] dementordelta, [livejournal.com profile] treewishes, and a bunch of others I don't remember the LJ names of. Afterwards, we hung out at the Marriott for a bit, where I got to spend some time with [livejournal.com profile] dracofiend (and say hi to Mr. [livejournal.com profile] dracofiend) and [livejournal.com profile] theentwife as a few of us from the matinee show grabbed a table at the Atrium for drinks. I didn't spend nearly enough time with old and new friends I saw: [livejournal.com profile] adbaculum, [livejournal.com profile] alisanne, [livejournal.com profile] sassy_cissa, [livejournal.com profile] fuschia, [livejournal.com profile] lesyerxverts00, [livejournal.com profile] fbowden, [livejournal.com profile] rubyrosered... etc.

Even though I didn't have a ticket for the evening show, I went to the theater anyway to see who else I could catch. The NJ peeps I saw for maybe a few seconds, then there was [livejournal.com profile] venturous1 whom I only got to say hi to. Of course, there were the NYC people like [livejournal.com profile] midnitemaraud_r and [livejournal.com profile] titti who I don't see much even though we live so close to each other.

Then [livejournal.com profile] alafairnadia and I walked over to the Times Square Toys R Us and I bought a Wii :)

All in all, a good day with great company and a fascinating play. So when's the next group of fen coming into NYC?

It was wonderful to see you! There were so many of us that I know I didn't quite see everyone. I sat with [livejournal.com profile] titti and [livejournal.com profile] midnitemaraud_r for the evening show, but I never got to see [livejournal.com profile] venturous1 or [livejournal.com profile] meri_oddities who I know were also there.

Oh, a Wii! My mother is addicted to her Wii Fit. I'm not much for games systems (too clumsy), but everyone around me loves them.

It was a blast, I wish there were more hours on Saturday for me to spend time with everyone! While I at least got to say hi to Venturous, I only saw Meri very briefly outside the theater as she was arriving with Beth and Cordelia... it was all a blur as everyone was trying to get into the theater. I waved at them in the general direction of the middle of the group, not sure if any of them actually saw me though *g*

Unfortunately, the Toys R Us was sold out of Wii Fit. But I figure I can start with the Wii Sports (the game it came with) and Mario Kart, then graduate to something more srs bznez when I get my hands on a Wii Fit.

I can actually manage a respectable score on bowling and golf, but I'm soooo not good at baseball. I really need to use the Wii Fit, but I prefer to get my exercise at the gym.

Cordelia and Meri were actually staying in the same hotel as I was. I did manage to see Beth for a few moments, but I missed the others. It was wonderful to see everyone, though. I think I've attended cons with fewer fans than were at Equus this weekend. ;D
