[Bad username or site: tanechigai / @ livejournal.com]: May the inner artist in you blossom! May A-ko be popular in Apt. 6K! May human resource managers look upon you with favor everywhere! 應有盡有!
[Bad username or site: zerbie / @ livejournal.com]: May you reach your goal of 50 books and gain much wisdom in the process! May your muse be hyper-productive always! A journalist greeting to you: 文思猛進 (may you have a flood of writing ideas)!
[Bad username or site: ziasudra / @ livejournal.com]: hmm...what do I want? Simply: 生活愉快 (happy living)—in the most joyous sense of joy.

Date: 2005-02-09 07:38 am (UTC)Thank you! That's very sweet and much appreciated. Sudden riches would certainly come in useful at the moment :-)
And a very happy new year to you, too. Hope the thesis and your life generally will behave in just the way you want it to...

Date: 2005-02-10 07:17 pm (UTC)Kids absorb things like sponges, so I'm sure by sheer osmosis they will at least learn something by the end of the year. I sure hope mine will :p
Happy living to all!

Date: 2005-02-24 08:03 pm (UTC)The Chinese phrases are courtesy of Chinese New Year websites, and of the wonderful function called cut & paste. Otherwise, I'm horrible at typing Chinese. I don't do it the right way—I use the phonetic option instead of piecing words together by strokes. And I sometimes choose the wrong character because so many Chinese words sound the same :(
